فِيلُ الصَّغيرُ عَائِداً مِنَ السُّوقِ مَعَ وَالِدَتِهِ، فَرَأَى فِيلاً آخَرَ يَرْتَدِي نَظَّارَةً، وَيَضَعُ عَلَى صَدْرِهِ وِسَاماً بَرّاقاً كُتِبَت عَلَيهِ عِبَارَةُ «القَارِئُ السَّعِيدُ». اِهْتَمَّ الفِيلُ بِهَذِهِ العِبَارَةِ، وَسَأَلَ أُمَّهُ عَنْ مَعْنَاهَا، فَبِمَ أَجَابَتْهُ يَا تُرَى؟ وَهَلْ سَيَهْتَمُّ الفِيلُ الصَّغِيرُ بِالقِرَاءَةِ، وَيَرْتَدِي وِسَامَ القَارِئِ السَّعِيدِ؟ هَذَا مَا سَنَعْرِفُهُ عِنْدَ قِرَاءَةِ أَحْدَاثِ هَذِهِ القِصَّةِ المُثِيرَةِ.
The little elephant was returning from the market with his mother, and he saw another elephant wearing glasses and placing on his chest a shining medal with the words “Happy Reader” written on it. The elephant was interested in this phrase, and asked his mother about its meaning. How did she answer him, I wonder? Will the little elephant be interested in reading and wear the happy reader badge? This is what we will know when we read the events of this exciting story.
