"تروي هذه السلسلة من القصص التربوية يوميات صبي في المدرسة اسمه خير الدين، والأحداث التي يمرّ بها مع عائلته وأصدقائه. مناسبة لأطفال المرحلة الابتدائية، مليئة بالرسائل التربوية والأخلاقية. تعالج أبرز المواقف التي تواجه الطفل في حياته اليومية، ارتكازاً على الأخلاق المأخوذة من تعاليم الإسلام، كالمحبة ومساعدة الآخرين وخدمة المجتمع والتماس الأعذار والصبر وغيرها.

أصدقاء خير الدين هم: شادي ""المجاني"" وشخصيته استغلالية يحبّ أن يأخذ من دون أن يعطي، مصطفى ابن إمام المسجد، وشخصيته نوعاً ما مثالية محب للخير ويذكّر رفاقه دائماً بأحاديث سيدنا محمد عليه الصلاة والسلام وبجمال اتّباع سنّته. ماجد ""مسّي"" وهو محب كرة القدم، رامي ""القوي"" يحب الطعام كثيراً، سماح ""النظيفة"" هي مهووسة بالنظافة، سارة ""المئوية"" هي الأكثر ذكاءً بين الأصدقاء، فريد ""التكنولوجي"" محبّ للتكنولوجيا.

يشكّل تنوّع شخصيات أصدقاء خير الدين واختلاف أحداث القصص غِنىً في المواقف ويزيدها قرباً من الواقع، ما يزيدها تشويقاً ومتعة."
